Prestige
The Prestige’s
greatest trick is to get the audience to keep switching sides with each
character as it plays Jackman against Bale. Ultimately, Bale has the tougher
role to play, essentially playing two versions of himself trying to play each
other. Jackman has to do the same thing, but only for a time, and one version
of himself is a bad actor and alcoholic, which is easier. Of course it’s also about magic vs
science and so on but I've already ruined the movie for you so why ruin the intellectual part. A densely packed work of genius.
